Exhibition Introduction
The Taiwan D. B. Art Collective was founded in Guandu in 2016. It's a place where young people with autism spectrum disorders can shine. This is a 66-square-meter room where they can show the world their artistic talents. In this cozy classroom, through art education, students not only learn daily living skills but also nourish their spirits. Through the door of art, we build a bridge that helps students engage with society, helping them develop self-reliance through their own creations. Taking Taiwan D. B. Art Collective as their cornerstone, these amazing individuals are stepping into society, armed with their artistic talents and a whole lot of heart. They show the world their extraordinary perspective of perseverance and excellence, revealing the diversity and brilliance of life. We are delighted to present this collaborative exhibition featuring 6 Taiwan D. B. Art Collective artists: Li Ming-yun, Chuang Bo-wei, Wu Bo-jun, Lo Yi-chu, Wu Hong-yang, and Chen Shu-wei. They were inspired by the wetlands of Guandu Nature Park, and their works aim to awaken greater public awareness and action for natural ecosystems.

This inspiring exhibition was born from many visits to Guandu Nature Park by Taiwan D. B. Art Collective founder Han Shu-hua and her wonderful artists. The D. B. artists slowly but surely formed a deep emotional connection with this wetland. They wandered through the wetlands and shared stories over and over again. They turned these feelings and thoughts into beautiful creations, sharing their observations of the world and their thoughts on sustainability through the lens of art. "De Habitat" (棲坔), which is a homophone for "Habitat," beautifully captures the essence of the challenges faced by plants and animals in their natural environments due to human development. It also symbolizes the Taiwan D. B. Art Collective as a sanctuary for artists' souls. It's a place where artists can find solace, nurture their creations, and cultivate their dreams. We invite you to enter "De Habitat" through the eyes of Taiwan D. B. Art Collective's creators, contemplating the interaction between humanity and natural ecosystems, while sparking innovative thinking and action.
