About Hidetake Taga
Mr. Taga is a highly influential music critic in Japan, with a long-standing focus on the evolution of Japanese popular music. He is also a novelist, broadcast writer, and radio show host.
Thanks to the introduction of alumnus Hong-Ming Lin and the support of JMCE Chairman Yutaka Goto and the late Yoji Shinkai of TNP PARTNERS, Mr. Taga donated over 18,000 Japanese pop music CDs, collected over the years, to the university’s library. These CDs, spanning from the 1980s to 2019, represent a significant record of the evolution of Japan's music industry.
The "Post-Pandemic Era Taiwan-Japan Music Industry-Academia Exchange Symposium," postponed due to the pandemic, is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, May 23, at 7 p.m. at the Hall of Fame, National Tsing Hua University (No. 101, Section 2, Guangfu Road, East District, Hsinchu City).
