Program Description:
In Uyghur, " Dilbèr" means "beautiful" and "to give." After winning the Mirjam Helin International Singing Competition in Finland in 1984, she embarked on a brilliant solo career. Before this, no Chinese singer had made a name for themselves in such a rigorous international competition. Since 1987, Dilbèr has served as a lifelong soloist at the Finnish National Opera.
Dilbèr is not only a top coloratura soprano in the music world but also an outstanding operatic artist. Her natural singing technique and excellent musicality make her one of the most dazzling comets among Chinese vocalists. She has performed in Taiwan multiple times, and whether in folk tunes, art songs, or operatic arias, her enchanting voice always leaves a lasting impression, resonating beautifully for days.
This concert marks her first collaboration with Korean pianist Seo Kyeong-Yeon, who previously served as a piano art instructor and associate professor at the Central Conservatory of Music. The first half will feature a series of works by French composers, including songs by Massenet, Hahn, Fauré, Ravel, Bachelet, and Delibes, showcasing her exquisite singing technique. The second half will present selected Chinese art songs, beginning with Huang Zi's poetic "Flower Not Flower" and "West Lake After the Rain," from the prosperous era of art song creation in the 1930s, expressing love and homesickness through the combination of ancient poetry and music. It will then feature modern original songs "A Little Boat" and "Eternal Love," composed by Wang Yingzhi and Zhang Yi, which capture the everyday life of ordinary people. Through her voice, Dilbèr will share these stories with you.
