This exhibition brings together two artists with distinct creative approaches, each constructing their own imaginative interpretations of materiality within the given space. The title "Homogeneous Heterogeneity" encapsulates the core concept of this dual exhibition—where the artists share a thematic foundation yet diverge in their structural expressions.

Hu Jinxiang employs new media to transform virtual digital materials into tangible experiences. Through the segmentation of the exhibition space into multiple black-box theater environments, he creates an immersive, code-driven digital experience. Viewers navigate between the digital and physical realms, engaging with virtual materiality while reflecting on the evolving relationship between humanity, technology, and the internet. His works explore the boundless potential of digital art and invite contemplation on how technology mediates human perception.

On the other hand, Lin Yuzheng specializes in sculptural transformations, converting physical materials into virtual, metaphysical experiences. Using scaffolding as a structural element, he constructs a fragmented space within the exhibition, resembling a network of micro-experimental theaters. Within this setting, he incorporates handcrafted kinetic objects, repurposing everyday architectural elements—such as manhole covers, pipes, columns, walls, doorknobs, switches, and bricks—by stripping them of their original functions. Through cement replication, reassembly, and mechanical modifications with sound and light dynamics, he reveals the intricate, cyclical systems that silently shape our living spaces. His low-tech mechanical constructs challenge conventional perceptions of daily environments, breathing new vitality into the overlooked and decayed.

Both artists engage in interdisciplinary exploration, fostering a dialogue between contemporary art and lived experience. Their works create an environment that is both detached yet inviting, thought-provoking yet emotionally resonant, opening up a spatial experience that encourages curiosity, introspection, and an evolving sense of familiarity.
