Dreams need time to hatch—so do dreams of indigo dyeing. But what kind of dreams are these?

Dream One:
Taiwanese land is covered in indigo plants, with every household delighting in their presence. People begin to see through the eyes of a master dyer—understanding that these ordinary leaves are, in fact, treasures of blue.

 Dream Two:
True indigo masters can distinguish between the finest and the lesser grades of dye. This knowledge gives Taiwan’s cultural landscape another flourishing dimension.
 Dream Three:
More and more people are drawn to the pursuit of indigo, despite its fleeting nature—beautiful and ephemeral like the night-blooming cereus.

Indigo dyeing, therefore, is not just about preserving the past but also about exploring the future.

This exhibition brings together creators from different fields, including indigo dye artisans, experimental researchers, fiber artists, and interdisciplinary artists, showcasing discoveries at this pivotal moment—when indigo dyeing transitions from a handmade craft into broader societal engagement. Here, indigo becomes more than just a form of artistic expression; it is an action, a movement toward something greater.
