Grief is unbearable.
So I try my best not to think of you.
It is not that I am heartless, but I am simply trying to survive.
Yet, your words, your gestures, your presence always find their way back into my heart.
I cannot cry, so I call upon God for mercy.
Even now, I fear facing your paintings.
So this is what it means to mourn a loved one.
And God, in His kindness, comforts me:
"My child, I understand your pain."
